Artist Biography
Delia Bradford is a plein-air painter whose impressionistic paintings are influenced by early California painters.
Delia's parents were both artists. She grew up in Big Sur and painted outdoors beside her mother who taught her to use her own eyes and paint what she saw.
Delia does not sketch before painting. She visualizes, absorbs the energy and mood of the moment, then transfers them quickly to the canvas.
"Painting is very spiritual", she says, "I just want people to see the beauty that I see".
In collaboration with her husband Rick, a master Giclee printer, they produce original and affordable prints on canvas.
Delia's art is exhibited exclusively in Central California by Coast Galleries at locations in Big Sur, Carmel and Pebble Beach.
